A8: Container Home

A8 is an affordable housing concept designed using a 40’ high-cube shipping container. Our aim was to build-out the container for $40,000 or less.
We detailed the container home to minimize waste and be DIY friendly. We sourced modular cabinet systems and off-the-shelf plumbing and electrical fixtures that are inexpensive and are available in common hardware stores or online. Actual material construction cost was $45,000.
