Approach
MESA finds beauty in simple design solutions that are inspired by site and informed through a collaborative process. We strive to understand our client’s design problems and serve them by offering thoughtful, individualized solutions. MESA architecture is simple, honest, and practical both in design and construction because we believe great projects are beautiful and use materials, as well as our client’s budgets, efficiently.
Sustainability
MESA designs are particular to place, they work harmoniously with the landscape, and are designed using passive strategies. We believe that architecture and sustainable design are interdependent. From the choice of building materials specified, to building performance, architects have a tremendous impact on the environment and we believe it is our responsibility to design buildings that minimize this impact.
Integrated Project Delivery
Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a process in which the project team is assembled early on and works collaboratively through all phases of the project. The team consists of the client, architect, builder, sometimes other specialists or consultants.
During the design phase, the team’s collective knowledge informs the design decisions. Clients express their goals for the project, the architect provides a design, and the contractor offers constructibility and cost feedback. During construction, the architect remains engaged to help the builder troubleshoot issues that arise in the field and assist with additional information that may be necessary to keep the project moving forward.
